The Racial Unity Team was formed because of the tragic June 2015 shooting of nine Black people at a church in Charleston, SC. The shooter wanted to start a revolution of hate. A small group of people in Exeter decided to start a revolution of love.
The first public event, Walk A Mile for Racial Unity, was held that September.
Each year, our programs and influence have grown to where we are today--affecting change for racial justice throughout New Hampshire.
